A city dog, upon being released from its lease, sprints and goes out of control while searching for the best spot to mark its territory.
A country dog, has vast plains and valleys laid before it for all the running and sprinting it can do. Yet, it chooses to lie faithfully by a man on a rocking chair reading a bible-its best friend.
Pastor Prince shared this scenario once and it really stayed with me, it's so sweet :)
I don't remember why he shared it but all I know is the moment I invited my best friend Jesus into my heart, my life since has never went out of control. He takes good care of us :)
Anyway, instead of coming up with a list of to-dos-after-As, I have a list of the places I want to go! :D
1. ISRAEL!
I want to experience the land that Jesus walked myself! Not because His spirit will be there or anything haha, He's here in my heart, but just that I want to experience what He experienced.
I want to meet Israelis too! How awesome would it be to have a friend from Israel! Not forgetting the food-St Peter's fish, unleavened bread and stuff-I want to eat them all ;D
2. Egypt
Yinlin I wana go Egypt too! I remember from neopets that food from desert areas consists of this main ingredient-sand. Sand bread, sand burger, sand whatever for sale~ -.-
No wonder I kinda have a warped idea of how food in Egypt is like haha! Want to go there to check it out :)
And of course the pyra-- I mean mummies! I want to see mummies! Not really interested in the pyramids.
3. The residential area above Yew Tee Point
Above Yew Tee Point shopping centre there's this condominium unit that looks really cool, I have always wanted to go check it out but the security guards look scary. Once I told my mum about my plan to get up there ;)
Me: Mum I think I'm going to wander around the entrance to the condo till a girl my age comes out. Then I'm going to make friends with her! And then I'll convince her to bring me up to the condo area for a tour! :D
Mum: You're crazy!
Haha it was meant as a joke, I'll never do that. But it'll be nice to check the place out :)
4. Museums of any sort
I have always been interested in history. Nature too! I love Nat Geo Wild and animal planet(just a random insertion)!
Oh oh now that I mention it, you guys HAVE to check out this documentary called Great Migrations. It is awesome!
Awesome footage, awesome concept, awesome animals :)
Narrated by Alec Baldwin, National Geographic Channel’s (NGC) Great Migrations is a documentary on a global initiative in National Geographic Society’s storied 122-year history.
Shot in 20 countries for over 2 years, Great Migrations is a global programming event that takes viewers around the world on the arduous journeys millions of animals undertake to ensure the survival of their species.
The trailer is so good, and it's only the trailer!
Cool eh? :)
Anyways back to museums, I'm just interested in the things and materials from the past :)
5.
I wanted to put a place from my childhood at #5, but the thing about Singapore is that we demolish everything that's old.
My kindergarten has been demolished to build Ten Mile Junction, my childhood playground is replaced with an all plastic
Well that's it! Watch Great Migrations alright :)
